My initial interest in medicine came in college, when a loved one almost died. Thankfully the wonderful ER doctors and nurses were able to save them. Ever since, I have wanted to be able to make that same difference in the lives of others.

I started my career in primary care in 2018 and can't imagine doing anything else. Talking to patients of all ages, getting to know them and developing a healthy relationship based on mutual trust and respect is very fulfilling. If we work together, I'll strive to understand your background, views and preferences and incorporate them into your healthcare.

For me, patient education and preventing health issues before they happen are vital to providing good healthcare. When you are well informed, we can work together to come to the best decisions for your health. I'll also believe in advocating for my patients. That means making sure you get the best care possible with as few barriers as possible.

In these ways, I will seek to provide you with the most remarkable, patient-centered care possible.

I have participated in research about the role of screening for dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly population.

I am from South Carolina and moved to Charlotte with my husband in 2017 and immediately adopted a dog from the local animal shelter. On my days off I enjoy traveling. One of my favorite places I've visited is Venice, Italy. I also enjoy reading and video games. I particularly like historical fiction and fantasy novels. I love to cook and experiment with new recipes and am getting into gardening so I can grow my own vegetables.
